Our Physical Therapist will plans, develop and implement a progressive rehabilitation program for patients according to principles of physical therapy.
PATIENT CARE/TREATMENT:
- Plans, coordinates, and implements the appropriate treatment according to patient's total needs, and correlates treatment with other paramedical personnel.
- Evaluates/assesses patients and/or provides patient treatment.
- Performs patient care duties and/or treatment based on specific needs.
PATIENT CARE EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
- Provides patient/family/caregiver education and training as appropriate.
- Conducts and participates in in-services which are pertinent to patient care, departmental functioning and professional growth. Participates in the planning and development of new programs.
- Participates in inter-disciplinary patient care conference.
PREPARES, COMPLETES, AND MAINTAINS DOCUMENTATION AND RECORDS:
- Prepares documentation of evaluation results, individualized treatment plans and progress reports.
- Maintains data, records, and documentation including patient records, quality assurance indicators and progress reports to physicians.
- Completes documentation for third party reimbursement in a timely manner.
Supervises, orients and trains students, volunteers, and aides as assigned.
Assists in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies; recommends new diagnostic and treatment supplies, material and equipment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Current Hawaii State license as a Physical Therapist.
- Current certification in CPR at BLS/HCP level.
- One (1) year of professional Physical Therapy experience in an acute care hospital or outpatient setting preferred.
