Are you Veterinary Technician looking for a new place to apply your skills? At Animal Eye Center of NJ, you would join a busy team of Ophthalmology specialists and veterinary nurses. CVT and LVT licensing are preferred but not required (experience and skill may be accepted in lieu of licensing). Experience in a specialty hospital a plus!
We are a state-of-the-art emergency and specialty referral veterinary hospital seeking veterinary technicians that share our passion for providing the highest level of patient care, in an environment that fosters respect, teamwork and compassionate care. Routine duties include:
- Assist veterinarian with ocular exams
- Perform diagnostic testing -Schirmer tear testing, tonometry, fluorescein staining
- Experience with surgery and anesthesia protocols/procedures -IV catheter placement, anesthesia induction and monitoring
- Experience using monitoring devices – EKG, pulse oximetry and blood pressure
- Familiarity with general surgical instruments and sterilization procedures
- Medication administration
- Proficiency interacting with clients for understanding and education
- Motivated by self-drive to perform in a fluid and active team environment
