Summary:
Is the LHS clinical liaison at the facility, promoting LHS clinical programs to develop caseload and meet the customer’s expectations while attracting and retaining LHS employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following:
Interpersonal
- Effectively uses basic communication skills of listening, questioning, verifying and explaining.
- Able to create rapport with key community personnel and fellow LHS employees that allows for discovery of other’s needs.
- Seeks advice from LHS management to respond appropriately and timely to inquiries for assistance from community personnel and LHS employees.
- Acts as a liaison between LHS and the community
Fiscal Management
- Coordinates site therapy personnel schedules and staffing needs while assuring company departmental efficiency standards
- Identifies opportunities to implement Legacy’s clinical programs to meet resident’s needs
- Coordinates procedure to bring resident on caseload including providing necessary documents to LHS billing office
- Generates all activity reports as requested.
- Resource for residents in regard to ancillary billing questions
- Coordinates ADR and appeals process for LHS
- Ensures timely completion and uploading of all essential elements of the electronic medical record
- Completes end of month billing tasks for LHS
- Completes supply purchasing under ARM/ MSM/ RM’s direction
Clinical Management
- Treats patients and maintains a caseload that assists the rehab department in meeting LHS caseload goals
- Able to assess patients’ needs and use clinical programs appropriate for caseload growth
- Able to assist others in clinical service delivery across disciplines.
- Able to relay information to community personnel for integrated patient management.
- Daily coordination of rehab department with facility community staff to plan and implement therapy programming..
Operational Management
- Assists MSM, ARM, RM in making sure LHS policies are carried out in therapy department
- Assists in internal/external-marketing efforts to increase caseload: this includes networking events, community education and direct face-to-face contact with referral sources.
- Coordinates staffing pattern to meet caseload requirements with adherence to State Practice Act requirements.
Human Resources Management
- Creates and maintains team relationships and open communication with and between rehab staff, community staff and LHS corporate personnel.
- Assists MSM/ ARM/ RM with interviewing and hiring in accordance with LHS guidelines.
- Coordinates orientation/training of staff to meet Company, State and Federal standards.
- Notifies ARM/ MSM/RM of potential human resource related issues in clinic
- For supervised rehab staff, assists in annual employee performance reviews when requested by ARM/MSM/RM
Other
- Demonstrates professional conduct and ethics in accordance with LHS policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ Education:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - Preferred clinical background as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), or a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA),
- Three to five years experience in Long Term Care (LTC). Some prior supervisory experience preferred but not required.
- Minimum of a Baccalaureate degree from accredited college or university or equivalent experience (i.e., degree in PTA or COTA, ).
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Specific tasks as directed by ARM, MSM or Regional Manager
Licenses:
Licensed and registered PTA or COTA in state where assigned, if applicable.

1. Associates/Bachelors/Masters/Doctorate of Science degree in area of discipline. Must be a COTA/Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant/Occupational Therapy Assistant or a Physical Therapy Assistant/PTA
2. Current license in state of practice.
3. Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills.
4. Experience supervising others preferred.
5. Computer proficient
