Director of Nursing Services Job Opening

SHIFT: Full-Time, Days, Exempt

POSITION TO BE FILLED: Spring 2019

JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Nursing will be responsible for the planning, developing and supervising of the licensed and non-licensed personnel who provide health care and nursing services to hospital patients. This position will work on the development and implementation of nursing services, objectives, policies and procedures, and staff education in accordance with Federal and State regulations. The Director of Nursing will maintain sound organizational relationships and shared decision making with all stakeholders. This position will be responsible for directing, planning, and facilitating process improvements in patient outcomes within the constraints of available resources. This is a working director position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing program.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in nursing preferred (or comparable graduate degree).
• 5 years professional nursing experience in an acute care hospital; critical care experience preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in a nursing supervisor/management role.
• Demonstrates ability to function in a clinical setting.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Proven proactive leadership ability
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Maintains BLS, ACLS, PALS, & NRP certification.
