Connect America is seeking a Patient Access Representative to join our team in our Pawtucket, RI office.


The compensation is $12 per hour ($13/hr for bilingual) and we hiring for 1st and 2nd shifts in our contact center. The start date for our next class is 6/24/19.

Responsibilities

Overview:

Under the direction of the Call Center Team Lead, the Patient Access Representative/Scheduler is responsible for performing customer service functions, from responding to inbound calls, scheduling appointments, pre-registering, insurance verification, responding to questions, or directing patients to the appropriate area.

  • Answer inbound calls
  • Scheduling appointment for patients
  • Follow communication “scripts” when handling different topics
  • Meet all call and appointment target expectations
  • Enters patient data into computer system accurately and schedules appointments correctly by following the provided appointment guidelines
  • Be conscientious of patient concerns and answer questions politely and effectively
  • Follow policies and procedures for doing each task assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high productivity environment.
  • Ability to exercise judgement and make decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate with patients
  • Ability to perform while under stress.
  • Ability to document accurately and concisely
  • Careful attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Ability to type 25-30 wpm
  • Bilingual candidate a plus (Spanish, Bengali, French, Mandarin, Albanian, Arabic)
