Nurse Practitioner Job Opening

• Carry out physical exam and record the history of the patient.
• Provide basic healthcare treatment.
• Write prescriptions and orders for medical/psychological tests.
• Review the condition of the patient and determine appropriate course of treatment.
• Serve as the attending Medical Professional for patients admitted into Medically Supervised Detoxification under the supervision of Collaborating Physician.
• Tend to the needs of patient’s with the utmost patience, care, compassion and understanding.
• Function independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for complex, critical, and chronically ill patients.
• Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient’s age-specific needs.
• Screen for eligibility and appropriateness for medications that support recovery from substance use disorder and prescribe applicable medications accordingly.
• Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities including medications to treat addictions.
• Implement interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain stability, including but not limited to monitoring the effectiveness of interventions.
• Facilitate the patient’s transition within the care setting, e.g. transferring and/or collaborating with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals and participating in team meetings.
• Provide coaching and educational materials to improve health literacy and adherence to prescribed medications.
