LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Job Opening

Provide care to patients under the direct supervision of the physician and/or Clinical Supervisor and Operations Manager, functioning within the scope of license.

• General administrative duties.
• Answer patients’ calls and determine how to assist them.
• Verifying patient health insurance information and updating demographics into the billing/scheduling system and EHR/EMR.
• Schedule office appointments, x-rays and/or lab orders.
• Collecting co-pays and reconciling daily deposit slips.
• Correctly document patient information into the EHR/EMR.
• Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form.
• Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
• Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient treatment options.
• Schedules tests and treatments including arranging referrals to a specialist and obtaining pre-authorizations when directed by the provider.
• Notifying patients of test results and follow-up appointments and instructs patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Accurate vital signs and assisting patients for examination.
• Assist provider(s) with patient examinations or treatments.
• Collect routine laboratory specimens.
• Medication refills and/or giving non-intravenous injections.
• Opening and closing facility.

Travel

Travel will be required within the local area to satellite clinics. No overnight travel. Mileage reimbursement offered.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program.
• Active practical nurse licensure for State of Alabama and State of Florida required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years physician front office and clinical experience required.
