The Phlebotomist Lab Technician is responsible for implementing established standard operating procedures to perform quality venipuncture, capillary sticks, skin tests, urine drug screen, Glucose Tolerance tests, and urine collections. The Phlebotomist Lab Tech assists the healthcare team in accurate, safe, and reliable collection and transportation of specimens for laboratory analysis. Uses computer data entry skills to ensure accurate and quality reporting of patient results.

Qualifications


EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
  • Completion of phlebotomy training program preferred.


LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
  • Phlebotomy training program certificate preferred.
  • BLS Certification within 90 days from hire date

EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of six (6) months phlebotomy experience or completion of phlebotomy training program.
