Dental Assistant Job Opening

At Gentle Dental, our Dental Assistants perform a variety of patient care, office, x-ray and laboratory duties. Dental assistants prep patients for oral examination and assist other dental professionals in providing treatment to the teeth, mouth, and gums. Our Dental Assistants are passionate about dentistry, enjoy providing top notch customer service, and providing high-quality care to our patients. This position is Full-Time and will require sterilizing duties as well as supplies and assisting hygienists.

Day to Day:

• Welcome and seat patients
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment
• Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments
• Prepping and taking down rooms
• Assist Providers during patient appointments
• Obtain and review Patient Health History
• Communicate proper post-operative care to patients
• Document treatment as transcribed by providers
• Taking impressions/X-rays as assigned
• Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
• Managing PHI properly
• Order supplies and maintain inventory as needed
• Taking blood pressure/pulse
• Additional duties may be assigned or modified

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of approved Dental Assistant functions.
• At least 6+ months of experience assisting Hygienists.
• Sterilizing tech and ordering supplies.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, PHI, and PPE
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
