Where You Will Work

Located in northern New Mexico, Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in strategic science on behalf of national security. LANL enhances national security by ensuring the safety and reliability of the U.S. nuclear stockpile, developing technologies to reduce threats from weapons of mass destruction, and solving problems related to energy, environment, infrastructure, health, and global security concerns.

ISR (Intelligence & Space Research) has been developing, building, and operating space based systems for over 50 years. The Space Electronics and Signal Processing group (ISR-4) specializes in space based radiation measurement and basic science missions. The group develops electronics for terrestrial and airborne scientific and national security applications along with the requisite ground support and test equipment. The group’s projects receive funding and requirements from various government agencies including the DOE, DOD, and NASA. Projects are executed through a close interaction between all disciplines of engineers, technicians, and scientists, which fosters a highly creative and dynamic research and development environment. Projects within ISR division are developed from concept to operational support after launch or field deployment.
