Hospice Registered Nurse Supervisor Job Opening

Adoray Home Health and Hospice is currently recruiting for a fulltime Hospice Clinical Supervisor to join our team!

Hospice Clinical Supervisor Duties:

• Anticipates and appraises on-call staff of potential problems.
• Triage hospice patient care problems as they arise.
• Serves as a resource to all staff regarding hospice related issues.
• Works closely with physicians and other health care providers, offering recommendations related to the provision of palliative care.
• Acts as nursing back up for hospice visits as necessary.
• Thoroughly documents all clinical coordination activities.
• Facilitates IDT meetings every two weeks when requested.
• Complies with standard precautions and standard infection control protocols and general safety policies and procedures always.
• Participates in staff meetings, QI meetings, management meetings and other meetings as assigned.
• Makes bi-annual supervisory visits with RN and assists with annual evaluations in accordance with agency policy.
• Assists in ensuring new staff are oriented to Hospice protocols.
• Serves on the QAPI committee
• Works with third party payors, negotiating reimbursement rates within established parameters.
• Oversees HIS tracking and submission
• Reviews pharmacy charges to assure accuracy.
• Works with other members of the management team to provide staff continuing education.
• Ensures QI data is collected on an ongoing basis.
• Audits hospice charts, noting problems on the quality of care and/or documentation related to individual staff members, and respectfully communicates these problems to appropriate staff members.
• Assists in the development, implementation, and revision of clinical standards and procedures as needed.
• Coordinates and leads monthly RN meeting

Hospice Clinical Supervisor Qualifications

• RN, BSN preferred.
• Minimum of two years of clinical hospice experience required.
