Massage Therapist Job Opening

POSITION PROFILE:

The Massage Therapist will provide exceptional treatment for our Spring House Spa guests using proven massage techniques and treatments. They will ensure that each guest has a positive and relaxing experience. They will maintain all current licensing requirements. They will strive to model the Pursell Farm core values in the completion of their work.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:

• Welcome each guest upon arrival and offer them a beverage of their choice
• Perform exceptional massages and body treatments following prescribed protocols
• Fully prepare for every treatment based on Spring House treatment criteria
• Educate the guest on the benefits of the treatment(s) performed and recommend products for at home use
• Engage in continuous education to remain current on updated treatments or procedures and to maintain license
• Provide modesty and discretion during treatment and ensure guest's continued comfort; do not engage in excessive chatter
• Monitor and stay on schedule for appointments during the day
• Demonstrate proficiency with at least the following

• Hot Stone Treatment
• Sports Massage
• Neuromuscular massage
• Reflexology

• Maintain a clean and orderly work area

• Perform all other duties as assigned
• DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education:
• High school graduate or equivalent GED required
• Be licensed with the Alabama Board of Massage Therapy

• Skills and Abilities:

• Proven skills and knowledge of various massage therapy treatments
• Ability to provide accurate explanation of treatment to guest regarding each therapy
• Ability to maintain a confidential environment
• Successful time management skills
• Ability to promote safety and security during all treatments
