Position Description:
Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the ECC Patient Care Tech prepares for and assists with ECC procedures and patient care consistent with their knowledge and skill level. Non-patient care duties, such as restocking and cleaning, are also part of the job. Experiences are as varied as the types of patients presenting to the ECC. It is essential for the ECC PCT to be organized, to be able to correctly prioritize tasks, and to use appropriate decision making skills.

High School or GED - Required



Experience:
Previous Healthcare Experience - Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:
Kansas CNA or EMT or CMA or if student in a nursing program, documentation from the program confirming completion of basic C.N.A. skills - Required
Healthcare Provider CPR – (American Heart Association ONLY) - Required

Training:
Successful completion of ECC PCT skills checklist - After 90 days
Completes 40 hours of Laboratory Phlebotomy Education, plus a 4-hour annual competency - After 90 days
Completes online FEMA HICS courses 100, 200 - After 90 days
