Overview
Under the direct supervision of licensed nurses, the nursing assistant performs various duties to assist in the care of patients in accordance with established policies and procedures. These duties include, but are not limited to, bathing, mouth care, ambulation assistance, toilet assistance, feeding, measuring vital signs and blood glucose, and transporting.
Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required
Education/Licensure: Must have high school diploma or GED.
Experience: No previous experience required, but preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities: BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period. Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
