Medical Assistant Job Opening

MEDICAL ASSISTANT/BACK OFFICE STAFF

• Collaborate with other members of the care team
• Room patient including obtaining vital signs, medications the patient is taking, allergies, depression screening using the PHQ tool, ask about tobacco and alcohol abuse.
• Call patients with messages from provider – follow up appointment or call needed, labs, test results.
• Take incoming calls; triage call, schedule, reschedule appointments as needed. Give lab results, test results or other information to patients in office via phone or email.
• Assist provider with in-office procedures
• Set up follow up appointments with BFP, specialist visits, etc as needed
• Give vaccines/ injections per standing orders as needed
• Check emails – respond accordingly to patient or forward to provider to address
• Check telephone notes, prioritize based on importance – respond accordingly or task to provider for response if needed.
• Family Practice Experience preferred
• Nextgen EMR experienced preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $14.00 to $17.00 /hour
