Certified Surgical First Assistant Job Opening

The Clinical Certified Scrub Technician First Assist functions under the direction of the Director of Surgical Services & is responsible for the Nursing Care of the patients & directs others in the patient’s care. This person delivers care based on the patient’s needs appropriate for the pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patient. Demonstrates cooperation, flexibility, & resourcefulness in dealing with patients, physicians, visitors, & other hospital personnel. Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment & inventory. Participates in performance improvement activities. Education: Should be a graduate of an accredited Scrub technician program. Desirable characteristics include at least three (3) yrs. experience as a Certified Scrub Tech First Assist in the Operating room.

Licensed to practice as Certified Scrub Technician First Assist in the state of Alabama.
