HopeTree Family Services has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Group Home Manager in Richmond, VA, supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate services and care for all residents in the home
- Provide a secure and responsive environment so that each resident may have the opportunity to maximize his/her physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual capabilities
- Maintain the day-to-day operation of one or more group homes, including the overall supervision, scheduling and coordination of staff in the home
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of and complies with Medical Policies and Procedures
- Develops participant’s Individual Support Plan (ISP) and completes annual assessments for submission to Community Services Board (CSB)
- Supports participants in all aspects of residential services, including community services, employment and medical needs
- Provides case management with CSB’s and families
- Administers medication management to include checking in medication and audits according to company policy
- Protects participants rights and assists with understanding and asserting rights
- Reports any and all suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation to the designation regulatory agencies and Agency personnel
- Establish and maintain supportive family communications and relationships
- Maintains professional boundaries with participants, families, employees and supervisor
Requirements:
- A minimum of an Associate’s degree is required in related field; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent education and work experience
- At least 3 years of full-time direct service with persons with intellectual disabilities, human services, healthcare or special education
- Demonstrated exceptional leadership ability
- Strong verbal, written and computer skills
- Must demonstrate the emotional maturity and patience necessary to understand and accept the social, psychological and emotional needs of adults with developmental disabilities nurturing his/her self-sufficiency and enhancing their quality of life
- Must have the ability to use effective decision making skills and problem solving
- Must have the ability to represent HopeTree Family Services in a positive manner within the community
- Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Background check and pre-employment drug testing
