Nurse Manager (Emergency Dept) Job Opening

• Manages and coordinates the clinical and other unit activities in order to provide quality patient care in the Emergency Department
• Ensures that care is delivered to each patient in accordance with quality standards and is documented in clinical records and on nursing care plans.
• Monitors formulation and utilization of clinical record to assist in resolving patient problems.
• Acts as a liaison between patient, family and physician.
• Provides continuity of care and discharge planning.
• Ensures that physician’s orders are transcribed and carried out.
• Provides direct care and assessment of patients with ages varying from neonates, children, adolescents, and adults through the elderly.
• Sets specific standards and objectives for own nursing unit.
• Communicates changes in policy procedure and other policy procedure and other appropriate communication to staff and provides feedback from staff to nursing administration.
• Conducts staff meetings.
• Minimum of three years experience as practicing RN and one year in management.
• Current AL RN license
