The Supervisor of Yorhom Stores and Respiratory is responsible for supervising the areas of Respiratory Care, and the DME Stores. The Supervisor is responsible for overall coordination and ongoing operations of the program and is responsible for the supervision of care to patients. The Supervisor coordinates services for a smooth transition to the home setting, may work with insurance companies as well as the business office staff to ensure that maximum reimbursement is obtained and is responsible for marketing the program to actual and potential referral sources.
Assists the manager in requests to purchase new capital expenditures, understanding the budget, and assisting the manager in keeping within the fiscal constraints.
Assumes delegated managerial responsibilities as assigned and assumes responsibility for the department in the absence of the manager.
Provides input in the development of a formal marketing plan and participates in formal and informal marketing activities.
Participates in the development and implementation of administrative policies, procedures and job descriptions.
Contacts physician or appropriate individuals whenever problems or concerns develop.
Monitors services by evaluating, initiating and participating in restructuring of current and new procedures.
Facilitates staff meetings along with coordinating team, assuring that staff are provided with necessary information in a timely manner and promotes continuous staff participation in the peer review process.
Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
- Demonstrates understanding and follows infection control policies and procedures according to standard operating procedure.
- Maintains requirements for age specific competencies for the position and demonstrates the knowledge or principles of growth and developments and the skills necessary to provide patient/customer care/services.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of and compliance with:
- All pertinent safety, health and environmental policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Working safely, without causing harm or risk to self, others or property.
- The work environment safety procedures and prompt reporting of unsafe practices, procedures, accidents, injuries or other safety violations to the Leader.
- The use of all safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
