Veterinary Technician/Nurse Job Opening

Seeking a Veterinary Technician or Nurse to join our team! We are a one doctor small animal practice located in beautiful Brewton, AL. We are looking for a professional, self-motivated, responsible candidate who is interested in providing our community with the highest of veterinary care. Expected job abilities include but are not limited to safe animal handling, general cleaning, collecting, processing lab samples, client communication and education, filling medications, assisting the doctor in and out of exam rooms and being competent in computer data entry. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs and pass a drug screen. Preferred abilities in venipuncture, surgical monitoring and assistance, catheter placement, administering injections and knowledge of preventive care.

Education Required: High School Diploma/GED or higher
Work Experience: 1+ years working in veterinary medicine preferred
Hours: Full time including the ability to work holidays and weekends.
Clinic hours are Mon-Tue 8-5, Wed 8-12/2-5, Fri 8-5, Sat 9-12.
