Clinic Laboratory Quality Supervisor Job Opening

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinic Laboratory Quality Supervisor is delegated the duties of WCCHC’s CLIA Laboratory Director(s) to oversee Clinic and Emergency Departments for waived and Provider Performed Microscopy Procedure (PPMP) point of care testing under the auspices of WCCHC’s licensed laboratory’s director. The laboratory directors of WCCHC’s main campus and satellite clinics delegate the class I clinical laboratory duties to WCCHC’s laboratory consultant for all WCCHC CLIA designated laboratories per HAR 11-110.1.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science from any accredited university per HRS§321-13, 321-14 OR,

2. M.D., D.O., PhD with the below certification and licensure

3. Certification:

a. American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or

b. American Association of Bionanalysts (AAB), or

c. American Medical Technologist (AMT)

4. Licensure:

a. Hawaii State Department of Health (DOH) Medical Technologist, or

b. Hawaii State Department of Health (DOH) Clinical Laboratory Director

5. Minimum two years as a generalist.

6. Two years in a management or quality assurance position preferred.

7. Experience with point of care testing (POCT) systems and regulations preferred.

8. Experience in teaching and training preferred.
