We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Anesthesia Technician to join the Mountainside Team!

What You’ll Do

Anesthesia Technicians assist anesthesiologists, nurses, anesthetists, and other medical staff working on anesthesia teams. Their main responsibility is to clean, maintain and prepare anesthesia equipment for use in surgical procedures.

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Engage in various pre-operation responsibilities such as setting up the anesthesia gas machine and checking gas lines

  • Prepare supplies for intubation, central breathing lines, oxygen measurement tools and more

  • Break down equipment, sanitize the anesthesia area and set up for the next case following the completion of all surgical procedures

  • Checking, calibrating, and testing medical equipment such as machines, monitors, invasive lines, and pharmaceuticals

  • Keep daily records of their equipment inspections

  • Ensure anesthesia equipment is repaired or replaced when/if equipment malfunctions

  • Stock needed supplies in any anesthetizing areas including bronchoscopy carts, pediatric carts, and, emergency room airway bags

  • Spot opportunities for improving efficiency and containing costs within anesthesia areas

  • Perform any and all other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

  • Graduated from an accredited Anesthesia Technologist training program
  • Minimum of 1+ years’ experience as an Anesthesia Tech in a hospital setting is preferred
  • Current BLS certification
  • Position requires fluency in the English language to function in job enviornment appropriately
  • Good interpersonal communication, team-work, and customer service skills
  • Strong organizinational, problem-solving and follow through skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to perform work when no directions are given, and give direction to others
  • Remain flexible, organized, professional and able to analyze, make sound decisions under stressful or crisis situations
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current computer systems, equipment or programs used in the organization, knowledge of Epic a plus
  • Demonstrate maturity and accountability
