Dental Hygienist (#7295) Job Opening

We are looking for a Dental Hygienist for our affiliated practice, Dental Associates of Northern Virginia - Skyline, located in Falls Church, Virginia 22041. This is a full-time position working approximately 34 hours per week Monday (9:00 - 5:00), Tuesday (7:00 - 5:00), Thursday (8:00 - 5:00), Friday (7:00 - 2:00). Our ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of hands on hygiene experience; local anesthesia license, active hygiene license, and active CPR certification are required. Essential responsibilities include:

• Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times
• Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
• Hygienist will provide patient screening, medical history and dental charting.
• Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.
• Hygienist provide nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease.

Desired Skills:

• X-ray license / certification, required
• Active CPR certification, required
• Local Anesthesia license, required
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene school. Current state license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
