• Cheyenne, WyomingHolland & Hart is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Docketing Specialist to join our firm-wide litigation docketing team. The Docketing Specialist is responsible for docketing support requirements for attorneys practicing in multiple courts and jurisdictions. The Docketing Specialist will assist attorneys with keeping current with pertinent procedural rules and laws and provide timely reports of case deadlines on a regular basis.
This position will be located in our Cheyenne, WY office and will report to the Litigation Support Manager in the Practice Support department in Denver, CO.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Review legal documents in order to calculate, record and disseminate timely response dates pursuant to court rules and civil procedure
- Responds to legal staff and attorney questions regarding docketing/calendaring and court rules related to litigation deadlines
- Entry of litigation deadlines into CompuLaw docketing database
- Coordinates with attorneys concerning any changes to federal or state rules specific to calculations of deadlines to ensure all dates docketed are accurate
- Prepare and distribute weekly docket reports
- Follows the docketing procedures and methods of entry
Job Qualifications
- At least three (3) years of litigation docketing experience
- Legal secretary or paralegal experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal court rules
- Knowledge of PACER and ECF
- Experience in CompuLaw or other docketing software
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, and ability to interact with all organizational levels of the firm
- Excellent proofreading skills and a meticulous attention to detail
- Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook required
- Knowledge of the litigation process
- Ability to work in a high-volume environment completing repetitive, detailed tasks
- Ability to work under deadlines and in a team environment
- Ability to understand court rules
