The Straub Sleep Disorders Center has been offering comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services since 1982 to people of all ages who have suspected sleep-related disorders. The Sleep Lab provides evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, implements intervention and conducts comprehensive Polysomnography monitoring to diagnose sleep disorders and assist with designing safe and appropriate treatment.

If you would like to join our award-winning Sleep Lab, as the Polysomnographic (PSG) Technician you will perform comprehensive PSG testing, analysis, and associated interventions to help bring relief to patients suffering from sleep disorders. You will be expected to qualify as a PSG Technologist within six and eighteen months later, depending on other experience and qualifications. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and organized with excellent patient care, technical and communications skills, and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: Successful completion of a polysomnography program leading to an associate’s degree with an emphasis in polysomnography or successful completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one (1) year duration associated with state licensed and/or a nationally accredited facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in pediatric and/or adult polysomnography, and/or experience as an EEG or Respiratory Therapist.
