Floor Supervisor for Adult Vocational Rehabilitation Center Job Opening

POSITION SUMMARY: FLOOR SUPERVISOR

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating production efforts and activities. Supervises consumer activities on the workshop floor under the direction of the Production Manager.

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Oversight and training of consumers in their production activities.
• High School Diploma or equivalency and one year industrial experience in a supervisory capacity.
• The State of NJ requires all employees to be fingerprinted when working with disabled individuals.

Job Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for instruction of consumer in production activities.
• Monitor workflow of assigned projects on a daily basis.
• Maintains inventory of materials for production of contracts being worked on.
• Maintains quality control of goods produced.
• Provides instructions and constant supervision of consumers on workshop floor.
• Provides Production Manager with accurate and timely account of consumer production.
• Assists counselors in evaluating development plans of service and implementing rehabilitation programs relative to consumers.
• Provide input on consumers for staffing meetings.
• Attends all production, production rehab, and staff meetings.
• Participates as a chairperson or member of at least one committee of safety in service, personnel, fundraising, public relations or case review.
• Will be required to help complete contracts.

Experience:

• working in a workshop setting: 1 year (Preferred)
• working with adults with deveopmental disabilities: 1 year (Preferred)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
