Registered Nurse (RN) - IVF Job Opening

This position provides care to RMANJ patients by completing a specialized nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, and supervising other clinical personnel as needed. This position is full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

The RN's duties include, but are not limited to: patient education, patient monitoring, lab draws, following up on patient inquiries, cycle management/preparation/follow up, and assisting the physician during office procedures. This position is full time, some early evenings, weekends and holidays are required.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to physicians’ effectiveness by identifying patient care issues; provide information and commentary pertinent to patient care plan; recommend possible options and courses of action as appropriate; implement physician directives
• Document patient care services in EMR system
• Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients; comfort patients by anticipating their anxieties and answering questions and concerns
• Resolve patient problems and concerns by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
• Patient education in regards to treatment plan and medications through e-learning and other patient education available
• Follow up with patients regarding laboratory values and semen analysis results
• Assist physician with in-office procedures as needed

Requirements:

• BSN Degree required; active RN license without limitations required
• Strong clinical skills and a minimum of 6 months clinical experience is required; prior experience in women’s healthcare preferred
• BCLS and/or ACLS and/or IV certification a plus
• High energy, excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills, and demonstrated self-directed work ethic are required.
• Excellent listening/counseling/interpersonal, and communications skills required to manage sensitive patient situation properly
• Resourceful and well organized; committed to detail and follow-up
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate good judgment and remain composed under stress
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office; prior EMR experience preferred
• Must be available for weekend rotation and some holidays
• Travel to local satellite offices as needed.
