Phlebotomist - 7 on /7 off / 730a-6p Job Opening

Seven days on shift - Seven days off shift (7on/7off). Rotation includes weekend and holidays.

Under the direction of the Phlebotomy and/or Shift Supervisor, the Phlebotomist collects blood specimens for patients, identifying the patient and promptly drawing and correctly labeling the specimens. Accurately performs venipunctures, heelsticks and fingersticks, ensuring proper specimens for testing as well as ensuring patient safety. The Phlebotomist distributes the specimens to the proper Laboratory area in a timely fashion. The Phlebotomist also stocks the Phlebotomy area and collection trays.

Phlebotomy (utilizing vacutainer collection system, blood culture collection, heel/finger stick techniques, limited use of butterfly collection set. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. MUST possess a passion for providing patient-focused care.

High school diploma or GED. One-year experience as a phlebotomist, preferably as a certified phlebotomist and / or medical assistant. Registered Phlebotomist by Registry of the American Medical Technologists or equivalent, and/or Certified Medical Assistant is preferred.
