Certified Medical Assistant Job Opening

Our Primary Care and Urgent Care Facility is looking for Full-Time experienced Medical Assistant to support the day to day operations of our Medical Centers at our locations in Washington, DC and Falls Church, VA. The desired candidate must be a critical thinker, able to multi-task, have great customer service skills, must be comfortable engaging with patient and maintaining a professional and calm demeanor. Computer knowledge is required and experience with EMR systems is a plus (eCW). Candidate must also be willing to learn limited radiology (x-ray) positioning. Principal duties include but are not limited to:

• Assisting Physician with clinical procedures, including physicals and minor surgeries
• Rooming patient, record history, medication reconciliation and obtaining patient vital signs
• Gives injections and assists with lab testing and phlebotomy
• Cleaning and stocking exam rooms
• .Perform EKG, spirometry
• In-house rapid testing
• Monitors the research staff in effective and efficient use of laboratory and safety measures.
• Coordinate inventory, order processing and distribution of products and services.

Requirements:

• Must be willing to work some evening and weekends
• Must possess exceptional customer service skills
• Must have strong clinical skills
• Must be able to work independently and on a team
• Must have problem solving skills
• EMR experience preferred (ECW)
• Experience with inventory/stocking medical supplies
• Professional demeanor
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus
