Job Summary
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you have a strong desire to serve others. What you'll do: A typical day will include overseeing routine care for those we serve, working closely with a staff RN to administer medications, and documenting each resident's daily care, movement and hygiene. You'll listen when residents and their families have questions or concerns, and be a champion when they experience personal victories.
Your role also will include direct resident care at times, helping residents with all necessary personal care. You'll help as needed with transferring, re-positioning and walking using correct and appropriate techniques and equipment.
Where will you be traveling to: You will be traveling to our different long term care locations around South Dakota. Normal travel would be within a 100 mile radius from your home address.
You're qualified for this position if: You meet all qualifications outlined below.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Prior work experience in like or related position may be helpful. Licensure for state of practice is required.
- Knowledge and familiarity with the therapeutic effects and side effects of all medications administered.
- Must have a valid drivers license
