Assistant Director of Nursing - RN Job Opening

Waldon Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nursing for the position of Assistant Director of Nursing. LTC experience preferred with at least 5 years managerial experience. This position is full-time and includes benefits: vacation, sick time and holiday pay.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Assist the DON in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility
• Participate in various committees of the facility including QAPI
• Investigates incident & accidents ensuring all nursing documentation is complete including incident reports, nurses notes, 72 hour follow up, neuo checks and a intervention is in place
• Track and trends infections and ensures labs are complete
• Assist the DON in preparing written and/or oral reports of the nursing service programs and activities to submit to such committee(s).
• Attend and participate in the care plan committee meeting
• Make daily rounds to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments, in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
• Assists with month end
• Participates with the on call schedule
• Participates and assists in the survey process
• Assist and evacuate with the facility with any emergency preparedness
• Assists with medication pass if there is a call in
• Any other duties as assigned
