Veterinary Assistant Job Opening

Licking Valley Vet Service is a small and growing mixed animal veterinary clinic Butler, KY looking for an adaptable full-time veterinary assistant. We are typically open 9AM-6PM with some Saturday hours. Pay is commensurate with experience after probation/training period.

Veterinary assistant duties will include assisting the veterinarians on farm calls and appointments, answering phones, cleaning and managing stock and inventory, animal restraint, blood drawing, lab skills, assisting in surgery, etc. Must be able to assist in lifting and controlling large animals including horses. This position will require riding on windy roads and being on your feet up to 8-10 hours. Work will be conducted both indoors and outdoors, occasionally in inclement weather.

Looking for someone who is reliable and a quick learner with experience in the medical or veterinary industry. Must be comfortable with computer applications. Must have reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $10.00 to $10.50 /hour
