Collaborative Support Programs of NJ (CSPNJ), a peer led not-for-profit organization, seeks 3 qualified Support Service Worker to join a residential program in Monmouth County servicing individual living and recovering from a psychiatric disability. The position is full-time for 40 hours per week and is eligible for benefits. Support Service Worker will provide direct social services to up to 20 residents in our supportive housing program. Will assist persons’ in recovery to re-establish valued roles in the community and work on pre-set goals per the treatment plan. Work in a variety of ways to promote self-sufficiency. Individuals working through their own recovery are strongly encouraged to apply.

  • 55% of time spent in direct face to face contact with residents. 45% of time should be spent on training, charting and coordination of care.
  • Follows team protocol for charting and recording current treatment information for residents.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring, and updating of the individualized rehabilitation plan.
  • Advocates and/or on behalf of residents to access needed and desired community resources.
  • Performs crisis intervention.
  • Participates in the on-call rotation schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Social Work or related field and 1 year experience OR equivalent.
  • Excellent time management, assessment and organizational skills and able to meet program service goals.
  • Strong writing & verbal skills and be able to complete accurate and timely documentation as required by program regulations.
  • Ability to manage crisis.
  • Valid NJ drivers’ license and acceptable driving record required.
