Driver Job Opening

Purpose

To provide for safe, comfortable and timely transportation of residents to and from the facility.

Essential Functions

• Provide transportation of passengers, supplies and equipment as requested
• Safe and timely transportation of residents on both a scheduled and as needed basis.
• Responsible for pick-up and delivery of supplies, equipment and material as required.
• Assures that vehicle is fully fueled and ready to drive; reports mechanical problems to appropriate source for repairs.
• Maintains required transportation logs, records and reports.
• Observes residents for any change in condition and reports same to supervisor.
• Ability to observe residents? conditions and respond and communicate with residents and staff.
• Ability to deal effectively and appropriately with residents, staff and public.
• Attend departmental and staff meetings as directed or called.
• Attend and participate in in-service educational classes and on-the-job training programs, etc., as scheduled or directed.
• Perform other related assignments as related.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle record that meets company policy.
