Phlebotomist - On-Call Job Opening

The Phlebotomist is responsible for performing venipunctures and related procedures following policies established by the laboratory. Computer skill set required for ordering laboratory test and accessioning samples. This position will assist laboratory staff in cleaning, stocking and maintaining departmental supplies. Collect specimens via venipuncture, capillary, strep screens/throat cultures, urinalysis and drug screens. Maintaining patient confidentiality is of the utmost importance.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent. Phlebotomy training preferred.
• Must be able to provide excellent customer service. Smiles are a must!
• Tack, diplomacy, empathy and positive interpersonal skills are required in communicating with patients, co-workers and health care professionals.
• Patient confidentiality must be maintained at all times.
• Previous EMR experience is helpful! Excellian knowledge a plus!
• Familiarity with medical background and office procedures is helpful.
