Surgical Certified Veterinary Technician Wanted (CVT) Job Opening

Cascade Summit Animal Hospital is currently seeking a certified veterinary technician to join our team as our primary surgical technician. The person we hire for this role will be responsible for all aspects of surgery in our practice.We are a busy four doctor practice with a strong passion for client education, and we believe in team building activities that promote fun in the workplace.We are committed to practicing high-quality, progressive medicine. One of our veterinarians offers alternative care options, including acupuncture, chiropractic, herbs, supplements, and homeopathy. We practice low stress handling techniques for all patients. A minimum of three years’ experience working in a veterinary clinic is required.We use Cornerstone software and are a paperless practice.Visit our website (www.cascadesummitvets.com) to learn more about our hospital.

The clinic is located right off 205, just a short drive from Oregon City, Clackamas, Portland, Lake Oswego, and the Beaverton/Tigard areas. Our hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm – no late evenings or long Saturday hours! We provide uniforms, paid holidays and vacation, CE opportunity, health and dental insurance, and accrued sick time. Background screening and drug testing are required prior to employment.

A Surgical CVT at our hospital should have an interest in dentistry and surgery, be competent in anesthesia monitoring and calculating correct medication doses, and have excellent communication skills.
