Provide one-on-one therapy to children with developmental disabilities – including autism spectrum disorder – as a Behavior Technician. As a Behavior Technician, you’ll be responsible to implement behavioral interventions to help reduce problematic behaviors and increase desirable replacement behaviors. You’ll also work with clients on academic programs to target skills such as following directions, sorting, matching, counting, writing, gross and fine motor skills, language skills, and social skills programs such as taking turns and conversation skills between peers. You’ll be responsible to utilize incidental and natural environment teaching, facilitating communication and generalization of the skills clients learn.
Position requirements:
- Must have cleared and approved criminal record check.
- Must have legal status in the U.S.
- Must have a high amount of energy and to be enthusiastic for every session.
Additional requirements:
- Must be able to write clearly.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality,
- Must have reliable transportation and automobile insurance.
- Graduates with psychology, social work, counseling, child development/family sciences, sociology, special education and other human service degrees is preferred.
