Company Overview – Bullock County Hospital provides 24-hour emergency care, inpatient medical care, physical therapy, home health services, EKG procedures, CT, X-rays, ultrasound, mammograms, laboratory tests, and more. It is also home to the Self Recovery Drug and Alcohol Addiction Program, Gateway Adult Psychiatric Unit and the Golden Years Geriatric Psych Unit. The hospital impacts the overall health and wellness of the residents in Bullock and surrounding counties. The hospital is located 40 minutes from Pike Road/East Montgomery, Troy and Auburn/Opelika.

Position Description

We are looking for nurses to work in Med Surge/ED and Behavioral Health and we also have education and charge nurse and management opportunities. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the care and supervision of a group of patients, for a designated time frame. Provide care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, both direct and indirect. The Registered Nurse utilizes the environment, available instrumentation, and other health care team members, as appropriate, to provide care of the patients. Contribute to the administrative functioning of the nursing unit. Assists patients in meeting psychological needs and physiological needs.

Requirements of a Registered Nurse (RN)

Graduate of an approved school of nursing that is approved by the Alabama Board of Nursing

Currently licensed by the Alabama Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse (RN)

Familiar with equipment, tools, aids used in the delivery of patient care on a unit

BLS certification is required

CPI training is required

Appropriate training as required in specialized areas

Physical Demands

Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

Ability to lift and move heavy patients and equipment

Repeated bending, squatting, and stooping

Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 200 lbs. with assistance of others
