Primary Health Medical Group is seeking qualified applicants for Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Medical Assistant to work in our busy urgent care and family practice clinics. The chosen candidate will receive customized orientation and training to help you be successful in your nursing role and learning opportunities to continue to grow in your skills. You will work in a team environment to promote a positive experience in patient care with compassion and kindness. You will support licensed staff and provider(s) in providing an excellent patient experience by efficiently meeting the patient's needs. You will support efficient clinic flow and communicate accurately and positively with team members.
  • Employees in this position will be based at the Garrity clinic but will float to other clinics to help as needed on scheduled days. Candidates must be willing to travel to all clinics in the Treasure Valley and are paid a monthly travel stipend.
Status: Full Time, 36 hours per week
Rotating Schedule: Week 1: Sun, Wed, Thurs; Week 2: Tues, Thurs, Fri; Week 3: Mon, Fri, Sat 8-8

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider and/or physician, which could include casting, bracing, and injections
  • Provides clinical triage/communication as defined by protocol or per provider instructions
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients including sterilization, cleaning, and checks on medical equipment
  • Prepare basic laboratory tests on premises and prepares laboratory specimens
  • Perform Phlebotomy involved with proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages
  • Assist back office in managing patient flow, paperwork, and customer service
  • Provide quality customer service and patient education based on assessment of needs
  • Performs tests and procedures as ordered
  • Accurately document patient encounters and interventions performed
  • Relay provider instruction to patients
  • Assist with all non-direct patient care tasks (autoclaving, stocking room, scanning records, mailing, etc.)
  • Aids in identifying methods of improving patient care
  • Assist Front Office Staff in managing details of patients, schedule and referrals
  • Assists or leads in emergency situations
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding patient and business functions of the organization, i.e. HIPPA
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • LPNs will have current Idaho nursing license
  • Medical Assistants will have medical education and 2 years of relevant experience (EMT certification and experience will be considered)
  • Venipuncture skills are required
  • Previous clinical experience preferred
  • Customer service oriented attitude/behavior
  • Computer proficiency is required and ability to use applicable software as required performing the essential functions of the job
