Respiratory
therapists assist patients of all ages who suffer from pulmonary (breathing)
disorders. In addition to analyzing and performing diagnostic testing,
respiratory therapists perform relevant exams and control patients'
blood-oxygen levels, as well as set up and utilize cardiopulmonary equipment
and machines needed to assist or monitor the patients breathing.
Job Requirements
Graduation from an accredited school of respiratory therapy and successful passing of the NBRC certification exam.
Two (2) years experience in clinical specialty.
Current Certification in Respiratory Therapy
Certification in Clinical Specialty preferred.
Current Basic Life Support certification required
Advanced Life Support (ACLS) as appropriate.
