SHIFT: Part-Time, 16 hours per week, Night Shift (has potential to grow into a full-time position)

POSITION TO BE FILLED: Spring 2019

JOB SUMMARY:

A sleep trainee develops competency in and performs basic sleep testing procedures and associated interventions. The sleep trainee works under direct supervision of a sleep technician or a sleep technologist. This position will requires AAST online school enrollment at the time of facility choosing. Reimbursement will be provided for every module completed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum high school graduate or GED required.
  • Medical Certification preferred such as Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or EMT plus 6 months of direct patient care experience or one year of postsecondary education.
  • Medical terminology preferred.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand, use hands, reach with hands and arms and regularly life and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and occasionally move up to 50 pounds.
  • Knowledge of sleep study procedures preferred.
  • Verbal and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with members of the allied health disciplines, patients and patients families.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Works accurately under stress.
