Position Description
The Occupational Therapist will evaluate patients and devise an appropriate plan of care that will allow them to restore function, improve mobility and limit permanent disabilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and set appropriate treatment plans.
- Administer treatments to include: Therapeutic Exercises, Manual Therapy, Modalities and patient education.
- Confer with patients, Physicians and Case Managers on evaluation results, plan of care and expected outcomes.
- Perform patient documentation in the chart for each visit to report treatment, progress and prognosis.
- Attend and participate in all required staff meetings and in-services.
- Supervise Therapy Aides
- Assist front desk personnel as-needed for patient scheduling and customer service concerns.
- Maintain order, cleanliness and a professional atmosphere within the department.
- Responsible for the safeguarding of all patients in the Therapy Department.
- Responsible for maintaining HIPAA compliance at all times.
- Communicate with other departments as a team.
- Additional duties as assigned

- Must be comfortable doing computer based documentation
Education/Experience
- Graduated from an accredited college or university with a degree in Occupational Therapy
- Have required state mandated licenses in the state of Florida
- At least 1 year experience working as an Occupational Therapist
- Splinting experience preferred
- Certified in CPR
