LPN/ Nurse Assistant Job Opening

Title: LPN/ Nurse Assistant (These are first aid designee positions only, they are not considered School Nurse positions).

Location: Dove Schools: Dove Science Academy-Tulsa, Dove School of Discovery-Tulsa

Job Description: Will work to provide health services to students and staff members. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Providing first aid, illness, and emergency care

• Administering medication with appropriate documentation

• Maintaining accurate medical records to assure compliance with state mandates including immunizations and medical conditions

• Making appropriate referrals for suspected abuse/neglect as a mandated reporter

• Assisting in coordination and performing mandatory screening programs

Organization:

• Maintains a daily log of student/staff visits and documentation on individual health records

• Maintains the daily environment of the health office and supplies

• Utilizes existing technology effectively in the performance of duties

• Performs other health or school-related work as required

Job Requirements:

• Current Registered Medical Assistant/LPN

• Current CPR certification

*Experience working in the medical field. Experience working with school-aged children is preferred, but not required.* Ability to interact positively with school and community, the ability to develop effective working relationships with staff and school community and the ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and board policies.
