The Assembly & Analysis Clerk will be responsible for prepping, scanning, and quality reviewing medical records and loose material for all patient types to be uploaded to the EHR. Initial analysis and re-analysis of the medical record with deficient items entered and updated in the Deficiency Analysis module of the EHR. Processing surgery schedules and H&P reports for physician compliance monitoring, filling requests for transcribed reports, and acting as liaison between the hospital and the contract transcription service. Responsible for other clerical duties within the department, such as answering the telephone and completing requests for information, merging medical record numbers, picking up records from nursing units and reconciling them against discharge and registration reports, and other duties as assigned.

Retrieve records from nursing units and process into the department according to established procedures.
Prep, scan and quality review medical records/loose material according to departmental procedure.
Perform primary and secondary analysis of medical records according to departmental procedure.
Input and update deficiencies in the EHR.
Perform functions associated with the delinquent record count.
Process surgery schedule and H&P report for physician compliance reporting.
Fill requests for transcribed reports and other information.
Make corrections to transcribed reports.
Fax management reports to contract transcription service supervisor.
Electronically merge medical records with multiple medical record numbers.
Work task lists associated with the record processing and analysis functions.
Maintains confidentiality of patient information and adheres to departmental and hospital information security policies.
Meet productivity and quality standards for the assigned job function(s).

Prefer one-two year's clerical experience in a health related field utilizing data entry. Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.

HS diploma or GED is required.
