Certified Surgical Tech

Job Summary:

The Certified Surgical Technologist (ST) is responsible for the provision of patient care to meet identified patient outcomes, and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities:

• The surgical technicians prepare patients, rooms and equipment for pending surgical procedures.
• The (ST) also assists during those procedures as part of a team of operating room professionals.
• Surgical technicians assist surgeons and other medical professionals in the operating rooms.
• Utilizes instruments, medications, and other supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.
• Perform basic tasks such as checking patients' medical charts and consent forms, and preparing sterile dressings.

Requirements:

• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• Prior Experience as an ORT preferred
• Current Surgical Technologist certification
• Must have BCLS certification within 90 days of hire.
