MLT(d242) OR LAB ASSISTANT(D281) Job Opening

To fulfill the requirements of this position, it is highly desirable that the incumbent be a certified Medical Laboratory Technician by a nationally recognized certifying agency such as ASCP, AMT, NCA, or HEW. It is also highly desirable for the incumbent to possess an Associate Degree. Certification should be current, valid, and in good standing. Previous clinical Medical Laboratory experience in the hospital setting preferred. It is highly desirable that the incumbent possess good communication skills in order to effectively communicate with inter and intra departmental employees, physicians and their office personnel, and the public. The incumbent must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills needed to proficiently provide care to a patient population to include: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.(D242) High school diploma or equivalent, phlebotomy and clinic experience preferred.(D281)
